How Are You Managing Your Time?

Submitted by Mitch Seigel on Tues, 02/30/2016

Do you know what you’ll be doing first thing in the morning? What about after that? And then what? It is vitally important to a salesperson to be ready to go each and every day. Trying to plan at the last minute can be disastrous and keep you from reaching your goals.

Time management seems like such a simple part of the sales process, yet so many salespeople would rather be in a dentist chair than plan their day, week and month. In many professions there are things that just have to be done whether you like to do them or not. For many, managing their time is that thing!

Whether you keep track of your time in a written journal or through a CMS system on your tablet, it must be done. The quantity and quality of your work will increase exponentially if it is planned. If you just can’t manage it, then hire someone who can do it for you.

Once you are organized-did I say organized?-you can focus on the more important steps in the sales process. Your path to your goals will be that much easier. You will also find that you can become a much more proficient consultant because you will have developed additional time for work.

What are your challenges when it comes to time management? I look forward to hearing your comments. Until next time…
